Hrithik-Aishwarya in Bhansali's next, Guzaarish

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming next starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has finally got its title. It has been titled, Guzaarish. The film is scheduled to go on floors by end of 2009.

Reportedly, this film is a remake of Christopher Nolan’s acclaimed hit, The Prestige. It was also speculated whether who would be producing the films along with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Bhansali’s last film was a co-production with Hollywood giant Sony Picture Company.

Our industry sources claim, the Hrithik – Aish starrer is a 50-50 joint venture between Bhansali and UTV. Now incidentally, Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s last film together, Jodhaa Akbar was also a UTV production.

Reportedly, Salman Khan is miffed with Bhansali and has vowed never to work with him again.

Reason being, it was his idea to the bearded maker to remake the Hollywood dark thriller, but Bhansali kept him in the dark and began the project with Hrithik instead.

Hrithik won't leave Suzanne

Hrithik wants to be in town when Hrehaan gets his sibling.

At the moment the most nervous person in Mumbai is Hrithik Roshan. His second baby is due any day now.

And Hrithik has put all his traveling plans on hold.

"I'm just not stepping out of Mumbai for some time now. That's why I had to say no to the Zee awards later this week in London. Right now I can't focus on any work that takes me outside Mumbai."

Keeping in mind his determination to stay put in Mumbai Hrithik is at the moment shooting for Zoya Akhtar's directorial debut Luck By Chance in Mumbai.

The actor has a guest appearance in the film…A commitment he made long ago and is only too happy to fulfil since Zoya is not only a close friend Farhan Akhtar's sister but also the first female director Hrithik has worked with.

"We've shooting nights for the last few days. And I've one full song to do before I am done. That will keep me busy till the end of the week," says Hrithik.

Hopefully by the time Zoya's shooting is done Hrehaan will have his sibling. And Hrithik his freedom to travel again.

Today's Heroines can't dance

Director Jaideep Sen whose debut "Krazzy 4" has tinsel town's two most popular actors shaking a leg feels that Bollywood desperately needs actresses who can dance too.

"It is unfortunate that no actress in the present league is as good as dancing queens of yesteryears like Madhuri or Sridevi. We have a serious dearth of quality dancing actresses now," he says.

The two item songs, "Krazzy 4" and "Breakfree" which star, Hrithik Roshan and Shahrukh Khan, respectively have turned out to be key attractions of the film and Jaideep is upbeat about raking in profits using the item songs.

"It is really kind of Shahrukh and Hrithik to have danced in the film. It has definitely helped the film in a big way. It has turned out to be a huge attraction and the audience has really liked them. It has been like an icing on the cake," he says.

Jaideep, whose film ran into rough weather after jingle composer Ram Sampat slapped a case of plagiarism for using the thump theme that he composed for a Sony Ericsson advertisement featuring Hrithik, says he never focused on the audio of the advertisement.

"I have seen the jingle of Sampat's Sony Ericsson ad a couple of times but I never focused on the audio. It never registered in my brain. I was so struck by Hrithik's dancing prowess in the advertisement," the Director says.

Jaideep says he is disappointed that his film ran in to controversies even before its release.

"Filing PILs and dragging a film into a controversy has become a trend. It is a ploy employed by some individuals and organisations to trouble and harass filmmakers. It is certainly in bad taste," he says.

"I think these people should try and make a film only then they will understand the pain that a director and the complete unit takes to complete a film, he adds.

Although, Jaideep has two top actors making a special appearance in the songs, the film doesn't have any big star playing the lead. However, Jaideep remains confident that film will do well.

"I feel the audience always like a good actor over a big star and in 'Krazzy 4' all the four principal actors and the actresses are very good. So I don't think it will affect the film," he reasons.

While 'Krazzy 4' is yet to prove its worth at the Box-Office, the director still has reasons enough to cheer that he has already bagged two films.

"I have two films in my kitty now, one with Perceptfilms. It is an espionage thriller and the details are still to be finalised. The other is a Gurang Doshi production and will be a sequel of the 2002 thriller 'Aankhen' and will hopefully star Amitabh Bachchan," he says.

Suzanne isn't expecting twins!

Eralier this week eminent psychologists expressed misgivings on television about the psychological accuracy of the mentally unsound characters in Krazzy 4.

But Rakesh Roshan is unperturbed. "We had a psychological expert on the sets constantly. We went to rehabilitation centres. We saw how mental patients lived.

None of them lived up to the stereotypes of Hindi cinema where mentally unsound people are shown screaming tearing their hair and sitting awkwardly.

In reality such people are hard to tell apart from normal people. We've shown mentally unsound people in Crazzy 4 as behaving normally."

The producer feels the protests are premature. "Let them first watch the film. We're in fact going to set a new trend in the way psychological disorder is shown in our films. People should see the film before deciding whether we're in the wrong."

He adds an afterthought, "Whenever my films are around the corner some stupid controversy or the other comes up. It seems people take advantage of our name.

Otherwise how do we explain these controversies coming up just days before release? Why go to court if you've a problem, why not come to me and explain your problem….unless your intention is to create trouble."

There's a virtual war of words out there, albeit a friendly one between Rakesh Roshan and his namesake Rakeysh Mehra to come up with a viable script for the next film in Hrithik Roshan's Krissh series.

Says Rakesh Roshan, "Rakeysh Mehra wants to make an instalment of Krissh for me. I told him he's most welcome to do a Krissh movie for my company and to work on the script.

Krissh doesn't belong to me any more. It's become a brand name like Superman. Anyone is welcome to make a film in the series for me."

Rakeysh who has been busy with Dilli 6 has now started working on the script of Krissh.

Explains Roshan, "While Rakeysh is doing his Krissh script I'm also working on my own script. If his script turns out better Rakeysh will direct the next Krissh film.

If mine turns out better then I will. We may even make both the films one after the other. Or I may direct his script…. He may direct mine."

About composer Ram Sampat claiming Rajesh Roshan's music in Krazzy 4 as his own, Rakesh Roshan says, "I can't comment on this since it's a subjudice matter.

All I can say for now is, the release of Krazzy 4 cannot be stalled now under any circumstance. All my prints have already gone to various centres.

We're treating Krazzy like any of my directorial ventures. Krazzy 4 isn't as big as Krrish. But it's just as important for us. It isn't a slapstick comedy. There're no double-meaning dialogues. In fact the characters don't think they're being funny."

Rakesh Roshan's parting shot. "People seem to know more about our lives than we do. They've written that Sussanne is going to have twins. That's news to us."

Hrithik in Madame Tussads...

Hrithik Roshan is the latest star who is going to be waxed at Madamme Tussaud's, is the buzzing news making waves now!!

A trend which was started by Amitabh Bachchan who was the first to make it to Tussaud's was soon followed by Aishwarya and then the honor was bestowed upon the very popular King Khan.

Later, it was Salman Khan's turn to hit the headlines with this news and now, it is Hrithik's turn to get waxed at Madame Tussads.

According to sources, as soon as Salman's statue was unveiled, the hunt was on for the next Bollywood star to make it here, and Hrithik, for his immense popularity and fan following all over the globe will now see himself getting a place in the wax museum.

Only the 5th actor from Bollywood to be honored among the greats, Hrithik has surely made a mark for himself! Well, wondering where Aamir Khan is in this list?

The answer is very much on the expected lines, as it is heard that Aamir had got a call long back to pose for the statue to be made, but the actor had turned the offer down!! Nothing new in this, right?

Anyway, kudos to the celebrities who have made it to the Madame Tussads!!

Disaster strikes the Roshans !!!

The worst has struck Roshans. Music composer Ram Sampath, who moved court asking for Rs 2 crore as damages from the Krazzy 4 producers for copying his tune to compose four tracks, has won the legal battle today.

Giving its verdict on an appeal filed by 32-year-old ad jingle music composer, the Mumbai High Court has ordered the Roshans to remove the title track ‘Krazzy 4’, before it hits cinema theatres tomorrow.

Sampath, had stated in his appeal that the Roshans copied his 60-second music titled ‘The Thump’. The young composer had created the title for a mobile phone television advertisement last year and the Roshans had used the same tone in the title track of their upcoming flick ‘Krazzy 4’ without his consent.

Apparantly Roshans know that the stakes are too hish and their desperation was evident in court. Within hours of offering Rs 2 lakh per month to Sampath as ad-interim relief, the offer was raised to Rs 25 lakh and then “any amount that the court thinks appropriate”.

In the meanwhile the court instructed the Roshans to delete two songs if they want to release the film tomorrow.

"To my untrained ear, the music appeared to be similar", Justice Karnik, who listened to both Sampath's work for a Sony Ericsson cellphone advertisement, and the two songs composed by Rajesh Roshan for the film, said.

This means that Hrithik and SRK's Break Free item numbers will have to be removed from the film, which seems like a daunting task as the film prints have already been dispatchedfor the overseas release, as well as territories outside Mumbai.

Though Roshans’ lawyer Arif Bookwala pleaded the court not to stay the release of the film on Friday, Sampath’s lawyer Virendra Tulzapurkar said that mere monetary compensation would not suffice. “The SMS-s sent by Hrithik establish that they knew the music was not created by them. They have done this knowingly and deliberately.”

He added that his client was a “small time artiste” and needed to be protected when his work was plagiarised by such “big people”.

He also presented the opinion of Shiv Mathur, an independent expert, who confirmed Sampath’s allegation of plagiarism. Tulzapurkar added that the defendants were earning Rs 7 crore per month simply from ringtone downloads and Rs 2.5 crore per month from the sale of the music.

But Roshans' woes don't end here. We hear that their Krazzy 4 is a straight copy of the Hollywood film The Dream Team.

The posters of the two movies are similar and both the films are about four mentally unstable men and how they get out of a mental asylum to figure out that the outer world is as crazy as them.

In his defense, director of the film Jaideep Sen said that the similarity in the films is “sheer coincidence.”

How did you decide on doing the Cinthol ad?
Cinthol has always been about the energy. Its philosophy -- don't stop regardless of the barriers -- is very close to my heart.

As long as there's movement there's progress. That's what the ad was about. And I went with that flow. Cinthol is being relaunched with my ad. The ad film is bigger than Dhoom 2.

In what way?
There was more action in the Cinthol ad than in Dhoom 2. It was so much fun. I did kayaking, free-running, bungee jumping, mountain climbing, mountain biking, diving into the ocean from the mountain and rugby …. all crammed into one ad.

All this with a bad knee?
Well they say adversity is the mother of inventions. So I've found a way.

Adversity could also be the mother of further adversities.
Ha. It gave me a chance to heal myself by my own formula. I'm doing all it takes.

After being ultra-choosy for so long you've decided to work extensively?
"So far this year I've said yes only to Anurag Basu's Kites which he's making for my dad. But yes, in my mind I've green-signalled a lot more work.

Actually I've always been game for more work. I've never been in a position to lay down pre-conditions. My basic criteria is that I should be excited about the films I agree to do.

And then those films should be completed within the stipulated time so that I'd have the time and freedom to take up more assignments."

What about the rumours of serious leg injuries during Jodhaa-Akbar?
This is one of those false stories that has gained credence only because I've kept quiet. Let me state once and for all that the injuries did not happen during Jodhaa-Akbar.

My right knee has been facing a battering from the time I started training for Krissh. It was an ongoing process since 2004. The knee was crying for a break which I did not give it. We sometimes forget how human we are.

We start looking at ourselves as heroes immune to injury and pain. That's stupid. I've learnt it the hard way. Hopefully I'll be fully cured soon, and I'll be back in action knee-down.

I'm a very very physical person. When I see the outdoors, I just want to run.

A rift between SRK & Hrithik?

Reports flooding the electronic media that Shah Rukh Khan is extremely upset with the Roshans refuse to upset the Roshans.

Laughs Rakesh Roshan, "We know what the truth is.In fact I met Shah Rukh at an awards function the other day.

We both laughed over these reports. Maybe a section of the media thinks it knows better. But Shah Rukh, Hrithik and I are above these attempts to create a rift between us.

The fact of the matter is, it was Hrithik's idea to approach Shah Rukh for the dance number. Why would he suddenly feel threatened by Shah Rukh?"

Rakesh Roshan will say no more on this subject.

But a source very close to the Roshans adds, "From the very start when Shah Rukh was roped in to do one version of the Krazzy 4 song Hrithik had gone on- record to state that Shah Rukh's version of the number will be used as a part of the film.

Hrithik who at that time couldn't perform the item song because of a bad knee had explained the situation to Shah Rukh. He had also stated clearly that whenever Hrithik is able to perform after his knee injury, his version of the item song will be used for promotional purposes.

And rightly so…the song is composed by his uncle and is part of Hrithik's home production. It's his sister Sunayana's first attempt at a producer and Hrithik is very proud of her and the film. So why should Shah Rukh be miffed with the Roshans?"

The fact that Shah Rukh doesn't have the time nor the inclination to correct the blatantly mischievous perception on the two-tiered item song only adds to the confusion.

Roshans get a legal notice for the music Krazzy 4

These days in Bollywood, it has become a trend of sorts of 'suing' of the filmmaker/s just before the movie releases. This time, it's the Roshans who are literally 'facing the music'. The reason being, Ram Sampath, a 32 year old music composer, has dragged director Rakesh Roshan, his musician brother Rajesh Roshan, their film company Filmkraft Productions Pvt Ltd, Super Cassettes Industries, Sony Ericsson and the ad agency Saatchi & Saatchi to the court, alleging that they have directly lifted 'his' music for their album Krazzy 4.

Ram, who has composed music for over 3200 commercials, the music soundtracks of films like Khakee and Let's Talk, a remix for pop singer Justin Timberlake, had just received the prestigious advertising award 'Abby'. He claims that the four tracks (the title track, 'Break Free', and their remix versions) have been lifted directly from his 'The Thump Is Here' jingle that he had created for Sony Ericsson mobile in 2007.

Ram has now sent a legal notice to the Roshans stating that there were no credits given to him for the music, and that its Rajesh Roshan's name that figures in the credits list. While he has now sought a damage of Rs. 2 crores from the Roshans, the judge said that he will hear both the music (the Sony Mobile commercial and Krazzzy 4) before taking up the hearing again on Wednesday.

Hrithik to become father of twins

Hrithik Roshan is soon going to become father of twins. Yes, Hrithik’s wife Suzzane is pregnant with not one baby but two. Suzzane is expecting twins and papa Roshan’s happiness is beyond measure.

The couple is already gifted with a 2 year-old baby boy named Hrehan Roshan. Hrithik always had a desire for a baby girl and Suzzane is going to fulfill his wish this time. During Jodhaa Akbar premiere and Filmfare awards, she has been spotted with her big tummy and looking at her one could easily make out that she stores double bonanza and the news has now been confirmed.

Hrithik is undoubtedly a loving husband but these days he is taking extra care to keep his wife happy. The man who hates cooking is in kitchen duty making delicious pasta for Suzzane while she enjoys a movie. The couple is quite excited about the arrival of two new members to their family and are planning to give a new look to their kid's room. Hrithik once expressed his desire to have two more babies and his wish to bring up his three babies simultaneously having little age gaps. He had postponed the shooting of Kites to July so that he could stand by her side during and after delivery.

Hrithik Roshan’s Item Number for Krazzy 4

Rakesh Roshan’s first home production movie titled ‘Krazzy 4′, since his son’s debut in bollywood, that doesnt star his son Hrithik Roshan in the lead has some crazy numbers to look forward for.

Krazzy 4 directed by debutant directer Jaideep Sen features 3 item numbers. One item number is performed by Rakhi Sawant for the song Dhekta Hai Tu Kya. It’s for the masses as she has a certain amount of class and is famous for her item songs.

The other two item numbers are performed by bollywood’s most popular and wanted stars - Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan. The USP of their item number is that, both perform to the same song titled Break Free with just a slight variations in the lyrics.

The video of SRK’s item number released few days back and is getting popular day by day. After great hype and wait, youth icon Hrithik Roshan’s item number video released this week and belive me it’s worth the wait. Hrithik’s talent as a dancer is seen in every frame. He looked stunning as ever and danced brilliantly to the tunes of the song. A hot, sexy and mind blowing item number!

Here are some shots from the item number.
